How to create a great hockey channel template
The NHL has announced a new hockey channel for the 2018-19 season.
The channel is called NHL.tv and will be the first of its kind to feature a full-length video feature, live highlights, a host of pre-game and post-game shows, and more.”NHL.tv will be a destination for fans to watch live, on-demand, exclusive content from the NHL and NHLPA,” NHL Vice President and GM of Content and Operations Jeff Gorton said in a press release.
“With this new digital platform, fans will be able to watch, share, and download NHL content directly to their smart device.”
The channel will be available for a $10 monthly subscription, which includes all of the above.
The first season will debut in late September and will feature six regular-season games and a playoffs run.
The NHL also announced a partnership with ESPN to host all NHL games on ESPN, and ESPN will air all NHL pre- and postgame shows on its sports-entertainment network, The ACC.
“This is a massive opportunity for our fans and the sport, and we are proud to partner with ESPN,” NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said in the release.
